Sanchez
Rodd (Rodrigo) Sanchez was born in
Santiago , Chile before immigrating to Australia . Early schooling
education was at Patrician Brothers Fairfield, till 1991. Rodd's
first vocational studies were in the study of nursing at University
Western Sydney- Macarthur to fulfil his need to help people
with their health issues. Rodd worked for 11 years in the nursing
industry caring for the elderly, paediatric, disabilities, drug
rehab and psychiatric patients.
Rodd attended the Sydney Institute of Traditional
Chinese Medicine (S.I.T.C.M); for an intensive 4 year programme
and during his studies he was awarded the Annual Prize for most
outstanding performance in Traditional Chinese Medicine studies,
which was presented by Australian Acupuncture & Chinese
Medicine Association (AACMA). During his study, he undertook
extensive clinical training and mentoring- ship with/ through
Prof. Hoc Ku Huynh OAM, here in Australia where clinical and
interpersonal relationships were developed and nurtured. Extended
his studies and clinical skills with internship training at
the Anhui 2 nd Affiliated Hospital & College of Traditional
Chinese Medicine in China , where valuables skills where developed.
At present he is a lecturer at the Sydney Institute of Traditional
Chinese Medicine in both the Western Health Sciences and Traditional
Chinese Medicine fields. Rodd presents seminars in the art and
skills of traditional Chinese Medicine Dietary therapy and other
modalities of TCM. He is furthering his education with a Masters
of Herbal Medicine programme through the University of Sydney
.
In private clinic, Rodd runs a acupuncture and
herbal medicine general practice, with an interest in digestive
conditions, muscular skeletal conditions, male and female infertility
and facial rejuvenation techniques.
Rodd is heavily involved and work towards
the promotion and development of the benefits and merits of
Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine within Australia , through
different organisations.
